In the 2023-2024 Budget, the Free Health Schemes will continue but we are now bringing in necessary improvements and better controls to avoid any mismanagement, thus a new criterion will be put in place to qualify under the scheme.
From 1 August 2023, only patients with an individual income of $30,000 or less per annum can qualify for the free services at the private practitioners. Fijians who wish to be seen under the Scheme, will need to register where eligible individuals will need to complete an application form and income declaration form.
